Neigbhors on the 5500 block of Torresdale Avenue called police just around 11 on Sunday night, after hearing a rapid succession of gunshots.
When officers arrived they found the victim lying in the street.
The man, in his early 20's, was pronounced dead at the scene.
He had been shot several times.
So far, police have not said if they have discovered any motives or suspects.
