British pilot Rob Wotton was attempting to make an emergency landing southwest of London when he ran into trouble.
It was in the form of a cow that wandered in the way of Wotton's 1930s Tiger Moth biplane.
YouTube video shows the bovine getting knocked to the ground by the plane's lower wing.
A report on the Sept. 14 accident says the cow was "apparently uninjured."
Wotton adds it's the first time he's hit a cow in his 22 years of flying.
