The Action Cam was there at the Walt Whitman Service Plaza on the New Jersey Turnpike early this morning when a suspected car thief tried to outrace a fleet of State Police squad cars. Police say the high speed chase that started in North Jersey, ended when the suspect's car ran out of gas.

The chase ended just moments after he exited the Turnpike in Carney's Point, and got onto I-295 North.

At times, the suspect was travelling in excess of 100 MPH.

Police were able to make the arrest without anyone being injured.

The suspect now faces a long list of charges.
