Jury hung in drug-related shooting

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - March 17, 2009 Judge Maria Dantos says a Lehigh County jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict in the trial of 28-year-old Kendall Richardson of Allentown. The jury deliberated Friday and Monday.

Richardson was charged with first-degree murder and related counts in the death of 23-year-old Alfredo Suarez Jr. Suarez was shot in the head during a June 2007 robbery at an Allentown apartment.

Richardson could have faced the death penalty if convicted.
