Teens charged in disabled man assault

LAUREL, Del. - April 5, 2009 - Police said the two 17-year-olds from Laurel and an 18-year-old from Bethel assaulted the 31-year-old victim as he walked home Friday night from his brother's house in the Laurel Village Mobile Home Park. The victim was dragged into a wooden area, beaten and robbed of his wallet and keys.

Police say the man later walked home and went to sleep. The victim's mother found her son was injured the next morning and took him to a hospital, where he was treated for a concussion.

The teens were charged with robbery, second-degree Assault and second-degree conspiracy and held on $20,000 bond.
