28 hurt in two SEPTA bus crashes

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - July 6, 2009 The most serious accident happened in Northeast Philadelphia.

15 people were hurt when a truck hit the Route 14 SEPTA bus from behind on Roosevelt Blvd. near Ryan Avenue.

All of the injuries were minor.

It is not clear how many people were on the bus, and how many were in the truck.

Meanwhile, 13 people were hurt in a crash involving a SEPTA bus in Chester, Pa. around 10:00 a.m.

This incident involved the Route 117 bus at the intersection of 14th and Edgemont Streets.

Police say the accident happened when a car ran a red light and struck the left front tire of the SEPTA bus.

12 of those injured were on the bus, while the thirteenth was in the other vehicle.
