TACONY - August 20, 2009 --
Police say a man shot his girlfriend in the stomach Wednesday night.It happened around 10:30 p.m. in the 4300 block of Stirling Street in the Tacony section of Philadelphia. The girl, a 17-year-old, was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Her boyfriend has been taken into custody.
His identity has not yet been released.
Police have recovered a weapon.
