The Pair, who are both natives of Ukraine, were a together for about a year and recently completely a run starring together on Broadway, in a show produced by "/*Dancing with the Stars*/" judge /*Carrie Ann Inaba*/. Smirnoff was also involved in a relationship with /*Mario Lopez*/, who was her dancing partner on a previous edition of "Dancing with the Stars."
Smirnoff and Chmerkovskiy were to have tied the knot next summer.
No word on why they split.
This season on "Dancing with the Stars," Chmerkovskiy is dancing with actress Debi Mazar. Smirnoff is dancing with singer Aaron Carter.
