Man wanted after drugs, guns found

Authorities in Wilmington, Delaware are looking for a man who fled police, leaving a loaded handgun and drugs inside his car.Police are searching for Lynell Tucker, 23, of the 2300 block of North Jefferson Street.

It began around 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Police say an officer tried to stop a red 2009 Kia Optima for speeding in the 700 block of Walnut Street. The car eventually pulled over the 1400 block.

As the officer approached on foot, he said he noticed Tucker frantically trying to move items inside the Kia. As the officer got closer, police say Tucker drove off, leading police on a chase to the 2300 block of Walnut, where Tucker allegedly got out of the car and fled on foot.

Police say a search of the car revealed a loaded 9mm handgun, 74 grams of marijuana, drug paraprhenalia, a military-style shirt and black ski mask. Several hundred dollars in cash were also left behind.

On Friday police searched Tucker's home, but he was not there. He is wanted on a number of drug and firearms charges.
