Man tells jury he's being framed in slaying

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - September 16, 2009

Twenty-eight-year-old Rushawn Matthews, of Allentown, is representing himself at his murder trial. He told the jury on Tuesday that the man who shot 27-year-old Jamar Crenshaw is a prosecution witness who is scheduled to testify that Matthews confessed to the killing.

Matthews claims the witness is lying because he wants to save himself.

First Assistant District Attorney Steven Luksa said an eyewitness identified Matthews as the shooter.
