The fire quickly went to three alarms as flames whipped through the store at the center of the mall in the East Park Pharmacy.
The owner of that store, Hiren Patel, said he will try to reopen, possibly in a mobile unit.
"My main concern is the patients that we serve in the community, how do I continue serving them? That's what we're working on right now," Patel said.
It took about two hours for firefighters to gain control of the blaze.
Most of the stores were not damaged, but a strong odor of smoke permeated many of them.
The injured firefighter was taken to the hospital after falling while on the roof, and suffered a minor leg injury. He was treated and released.
There are no reports of any other injuries.
The cause of the fire did not appear suspicious, investigators said. However an exact cause has yet to be determined.
