Twenty-eight-year-old Eric Weyant of Milton has been charged with second-degree rape, endangering the welfare of a child and other offenses. He is being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution.
Police went to a home about 4:45 p.m. Sunday where a woman, an acquaintance of Weyant's, said she had been sexually assaulted. Police say the attack took place in front of the victim's children and the woman was forcefully prevented from fleeing.
