'Big Brother 9' winner heads to court in drug case

BOSTON (AP) - October 22, 2009

Adam Jasinski , of Delray Beach, Fla., is charged with attempting to sell 2,000 oxycodone pills. A federal drug agent says the 31-year-old told him that he had been using his prize money from the CBS show to buy thousands of oxycodone pills and resell them along the East Coast.

Jasinski won $500,000 on "Big Brother 9" in April 2008.

He was arrested at a strip mall in North Reading, Mass., last weekend after he allegedly showed a government witness a sock containing two plastic bags filled with oxycodone. He is to appear in U.S. District Court on Thursday afternoon for a detention hearing.
