Crawford County Commissioner C. Sherman Allen and Arvilla Baird, who works in the county public defender's office, plan to wed Aug. 22.
They plan to use the Youth Show Arena for their wedding. Typically, the arena is used for youth exhibits at the fair in Meadville, which is billed as the largest agricultural fair in the state.
Baird says the county fair wedding was Allen's idea but she's on board for the "different and unique" experience.
The couple still need to schedule the time of their wedding, which will depend on other fair activities in the arena.
Fair officials don't recall another wedding. The 65th annual fair runs Aug. 21-28, 2010.
