NCC names new president

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - November 18, 2009 The board of trustees announced Wednesday that David Eisner will take over leadership of the Philadelphia-based museum and educational center. He starts on Nov. 30.

Eisner is the former CEO of the Corporation for National and Community Service, the federal agency overseeing national service programs including AmeriCorps.

Previously, he was a senior executive at AOL-Time Warner.

Eisner replaces Linda Johnson, who had served as acting president and CEO since January. Johnson stepped in after CEO Joseph Torsella left to pursue other interests.
