The fire inside Champps Sports Bar and Grille near Mall Boulevard just after 7:30 a.m.
Firefighters found smoke throughout the building, but the restaurant's sprinkler system kicked in and the fire was very minor.
There's no word when the restaurant will open for business after Friday morning's fire.
