Two charged in Del. bank robbery

WILMINGTON, Del. - December 3, 2009

David Elswick, 34, of the 200 block of South Dillwyn Road in Newark and Joseph Donahue, 34, of South Elizabeth Street in Wilmington have been charged.

Police say Elswick entered the WSFS Bank on Concord Pike back on November 2nd, gave a teller a demand note, then fled with cash.

Three days later, Elswick was arrested. However, as the investigation continued, police determined that Donahue was also involved. Investigators say he was the driver, using his wife's Volvo to drive Elswick to and from the bank.

On December 2nd, Donoahue was arrested in the parking lot of a diner in Wilmington.
