It happened just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Morehouse Drive in Minquadale.
Firefighters found a 5-year-old boy trapped in the house fire.
The fire was brought under control within an hour.
The 5-year-old was taken to A. I. DuPont Hospital, where he was being treated for smoke inhalation. Late Saturday night, Action News was told the boy passed away.
