Authorities in Arizona are parking specially equipped cars at malls to help nab holiday thieves.
The Arizona Auto Theft Authority says over the past five years, hundreds of crooks have taken the bait.
The cars are outfitted with GPS tracking devices, which are monitored by police dispatchers.
There are also hidden video cameras inside the bait cars.
Glendale police Sgt. Brandon Blanco says auto thefts are down by 28 percent this year, thanks to the technology.
