Jurors began deliberations at about 3:00 p.m. Monday in the trial of 35-year-old Eric Floyd and 41-year-old Levon Warner. They could face the death penalty if convicted in the May 2008 shooting death of Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski following a bank robbery.
Floyd and Warner were allegedly in the getaway car when authorities say a third suspect, Howard Cain, got out and shot the pursuing Liczbinski. Cain later died in a shootout with police.
Attorneys for both men say their clients weren't responsible for planning the heist and had no intention of killing the officer.
