Pedestrian struck, killed by train in Ardmore

ARDMORE, Pa. (AP) - July 30, 2010

Officials say the accident happened in Ardmore around 11:20 a.m. Friday.

No one aboard the train was hurt.

An /*Amtrak*/ spokeswoman says the train was headed from Harrisburg to New York City, with a stop in Philadelphia, when the person was hit.

The investigation has forced the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority to suspend service on its regional rail line to Paoli.

/*SEPTA*/ officials say service resumed around 1 p.m.
