Police say they have charged both a mother and her son with drunken driving.
Police say they spotted a speeding Chevy El Camino followed closely by a Mazda.
A local paper reports police pulled over both at a convenience store.
Officers say mom, Genevieve Hurst Alvarado, smelled heavily of alcohol and said she had been drinking.
She was in the Mazda.
Her son, 24-year-old Benjamin Forster, was driving the El Camino.
Police say he fell over backwards after being stopped.
Officers add both mother and son failed their field sobriety tests.
