Investigators tell Action News that early reports indicate a man in his 20s entered the store at 2851 North 5th Street, near Cambria Street.
The man tried to rob the store and fired a gun. Nobody was injured. It is unclear if the robber got away with any stolen jewelry.
The suspect was last spotted heading west along Cambria from 5th Street. He was wearing a white tank top and has a tattoo on the right side of his neck.
