Twenty-seven-year-old Matthew Emerson of New Castle was arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of second-degree rape.
He is being held after failing to post $60,000 secured bail.
Police were called Thursday by the girl's father, who said his daughter had a six-month relationship with Emerson and that it recently involved sex.
