Philadelphia police were called to Hancock and Huntingdon streets around 10:00 p.m. Wednesday.
There they found a woman bound and gagged with duct tape in the backseat of a grey Honda Pilot.
Officials say she was badly beaten up and partially clothed.
The woman, unconscious at the time, was transported to a local hospital.
Her injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.
Authorities say the Honda belongs to the victim and it was reported stolen 24 hours earlier.
This incident comes a night after a similar one in Fairmount Park. In that location on Tuesday night, police say a 28-year-old woman was found bound and nearly naked after being raped. Authorities say she was held in a closet for 24 hours while her kidnappers demanded she pay them a ransom of $20,000. Three people are wanted for the abduction and rape.
Police are not linking these two incidents as of yet, although, it is a connection they say they will be looking into.
The scene of Wednesday's apparent assault was minutes away from Special Victims headquarters.
