The world's largest retailer said at an investor meeting in Wednesday it is expanding Sam's Club electronics and jewelry sections and will carry the popular tablet computer.
The announcement comes a day after Wal-Mart said it will sell the iPad at 2,300 Walmart stores in the U.S. by mid-November ahead of the crucial holiday season.
The Sam's Club chain has been a bright spot for the company, performing better than U.S. Walmart stores. Its sales rose 3.4 percent to $12.46 billion in the second quarter.
Apple sold about 3.3 million iPads in the gadget's first three months on the market. Some analysts estimate it sold more than 5 million during the quarter ended in September.
The device is also available at Best Buy, Target and Apple stores and online.
