Prosecutors say Lewis B. Palmer III and former Common Pleas Court Judge Leslie Fleisher had a stormy four-year relationship before the October 2009 altercation at her city home.
On Wednesday, a Philadelphia jury acquitted Palmer of the assault charges, but convicted him of a felony wiretap charge. The verdict comes after a three-day trial. Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 29.
The 49-year-old Palmer did not testify. Prosecutors say the 48-year-old Fleisher became angry at him for watching a second football game that day.
Palmer has been fired from the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office and Fleisher has resigned from the bench.
