Pregnant woman wanted for multiple credit card thefts

ASTON, Pa. - December 5, 2010

On November 29th at approximately 10:40 a.m. a female, later identified as Charlotta Abbott, entered onto the campus of Neumann University and removed a wallet from the briefcase of a professor, which was in a nonpublic area of a campus building.

At approximately 11:50 a.m., the female went to the Walgreen's store in Aston and made purchases using the professor's credit cards.

The female then went to the CVS store at noon and made additional purchases, again using the professor's credit cards.

Later the same day, Abbott entered DuPont Children's Hospital and removed a physician's wallet from her private office. Abbott then went to several stores in Wilmington and Center City Philadelphia, charging over $2,000 to the physician's credit cards.

Through an investigation conducted by Aston and New Castle County Police, they were able to establish the identity of Charlotta Abbott through surveillance footage and DMV records.

Additionally, Abbott is wanted by several departments in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and Bel Air, Maryland for similar crimes.

Abbott is known to enter onto university campus buildings, hospitals, and medical building removing wallets from female staff and making immediate high dollar purchases before the wallets are discovered missing.

Abbott is believed to be residing in the city of Philadelphia. She is driving a tan or gold 2001 Mercury sedan bearing PA registration hrf-9817. Abbott is also late in a pregnancy.
