Police in La Grange, Kentucky, report 15 boxes of toys have been found scattered along a road.
Police Chief Kevin Collett says a friend of his brought the toys to the police station.
Collett figures the boxes, containing a total of 180 toys, fell off a truck.
He tells a local paper authorities don't know if the toys were headed to a store or a charity.
He adds he would hate for kids to miss out on their gifts.
Collett hopes someone can identify and claim the toys.
