Students in Philadelphia can blame Old Man Winter for slightly longer school year.

The School Reform Commission announced Thursday that it was adding two days to the school year. Those additions are to make up for snow days this winter.

That means the school year for students will end on Tuesday, June 21st.

It has been previously scheduled to end on Friday, June 17th.

Professional staff on a 10 month calendar will remain at their current posts until Wednesday, June 22nd.
