3 rescued from Frankford apartment fire

FRANKFORD - April 25, 2011

The flames started just after 2:00 a.m. Monday inside a 3-story apartment building in the 4000 block of Paul Street.

Almost everyone was able to get out safely, but firefighters had to go into the building to get three people. Luckily, no one was injured.

The fire was placed under control at 3:09 a.m. The building is a total loss.

Everyone was evacuated to a nearby school. In all, the fire has affected 23 people. The Red Cross is currently housing five families.

Fire investigators have not yet determined what sparked the blaze.
