It happened near the intersection of 5th and Rockland Streets at approximately 11:59 p.m. Saturday.
A witness tells investigators that she heard four gunshots and saw the victim on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. The witness tended to the victim until police arrival.
The witness says she did not see the shooter, nor does she know why the man was shot.
So far, police have no motives or suspects in this shooting.
