Police: Pair sold drugs in front of child, 4

BENSALEM, Pa. - May 12, 2011

Aljour Hoyle, 30 and Brittany Alverest, 23, were arrested on Wednesday at a hotel along Route 1.

Police say Alverest and Hoyle were ordering fraudulent prescription pads from the internet. They would fill them out and, police say, have other people get the prescriptions filled at local pharmacies.

When the officers made entry into the room, they allegedly found narcotics which were easily accessible to the child. In addition, officers say they observed a baby bottle that had residue of what appeared to be promethazine/codeine syrup (cough medicine) located a short distance and accessible to the child.

The suspects were also selling marijuana, police said.

Police say they recovered a number of prescription pads belonging to various doctors. The four doctors who were targeted have been notified.

Both were sent to Bucks County Prison. Hoyle's bail was set at $150,000 and Alverest's bail was set at $30,000.
