Pa. Supreme Court hears cases at historic site

PHILADELPHIA - September 13, 2011

Tuesday's event marks Constitution Week. It is the first session televised as part of a new plan to air the court's arguments.

The cases on the docket involve open records law, prison health and pharmaceuticals. The first case the court was hearing involved a plane crash.

The U.S. Supreme Court shared space with the Mayor's Office at Old City Hall in the 1790s, when Philadelphia was the capital of the United States.

The building sits next to Independence Hall.
