MORRISVILLE, Pa.- September 30, 2022 The complaint announced Thursday by Stop Animal Exploitation
Now! was sent to the U.S. Department of Agriculture and focuses on
monkeys being used in neuroscience research. The group says a
person who worked at Princeton supplied it with photos showing
abuse.,p>
USDA spokesman David Sacks said the agency will send an
inspector to the labs. The agency generally conducts inspections
when it receives complaints.
Princeton officials did not comment on the complaint.
The USDA found six violations involving Princeton's treatment of
monkeys earlier this year and found 11 in 2010. In June, the
university said it had taken steps to prevent problems from
recurring.
