Roseanna Monk and her husband, Kevin, sued the R&B diva Monday. Her publicists and lawyer didn't immediately respond to phone messages.
The couple's lawyer, Samuel L. Davis, says the Grammy Award-winning singer chastised Roseanna Monk for letting the toddler take some steps away from her in the Manhattan lobby last November. Davis says LaBelle lashed out after the mother told her it was none of her business.
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages. It comes five months after a West Point cadet sued LaBelle over a Houston airport scuffle with her bodyguards. She countersued the cadet.
