Police: Suspect nabbed in multiple Montco burglaries

PLYMOUTH TWP., Pa. - November 15, 2011

Stephen Kovach is facing a list of charges after his arrest on Friday.

It was around 3:30 pm. when police were called to a home on Camelot Drive in Plymouth Township for a report of a burglary in progress.

Police say the homeowner heard a noise and went to investigate only to find Kovach inside his home.

The homeowner dialed 911 as Kovach allegedly fled. The homeowner was able to give police a description of the suspect and his car - a bright metallic blue vehicle.

Officers say they found that vehicle fleeing on Camelot Drive and tried to pull the vehicle over, but Kovach allegedly kept on driving - only to get into a crash at Germantown Pike and Chemical Road.

He then fled on foot, police say, armed with a crowbar. However, officers were able to arrest him.

Police say Kovach is suspected of committing multiple daytime burglaries in Plymouth Township as well as surrounding townships.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000 bail.
