Police responded to the shooting at Broad Street near Jerome Street, around 11:35 Friday night.
The victim, who has yet to be identified, managed to run to a Sunoco gas station nearby before collapsing.
Investigators say the 33-year-old man had been shot twice with a shot gun.
The shooter fled and has not been captured.
Police have not released a motive for the shooting.
