It happened around 5:30 Sunday morning inside an apartment on the 5200 block of Cottage Street.
Initial reports indicate that a man and a woman were in the middle of a heated dispute when the woman then stabbed the victim once in the neck.
The male victim, in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman, who also suffered cuts to the face, is being questioned by police.
No word on any charges at this time.
