The accident happened shortly after 9:00 a.m. at the Mill Creek Shopping Center in the 4500 block of Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington.
Initial reports indicate that a 60-year-old woman was parking her car when she accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake.
The car careened out of control into the front of the restaurant. The Saladworks was open at the time, but no one inside was injured.
The driver was examined on scene by medics, but was not injured.
Delaware State Police continue to investigate.
