Authorities say the adult predator was found Tuesday afternoon hanging upside down high in a tree outside Park Ridge High School.
The bird's leg was tangled in rope, according to The Record.
An animal control officer climbed a fire truck's ladder and cut through branches to reach the bird.
The falcon was taken in for evaluation.
