Police: Attempted abduction near Delco Pathmark

UPPER CHICHESTER, Pa. - January 4, 2012

It happened around 3:30 p.m. along the 500 block of Conchester Highway in Upper Chichester.

Police say an 18-year-old woman reported to them that she was walking home from the Pathmark grocery store when she was approached by a man.

The man, described as being of Hispanic or Middle Eastern dissent, told the woman that he was having car trouble and was in need of assistance.

She directed him to a gas station about a quarter mile away.

When the woman walked away, the man rushed up behind and grabbed her buttocks, then wrapped his arms around her waist.

Police say the woman managed to break free and the man fled.

The victim informed police that she never saw a disabled car.

Her attacker is further described as being about 5' tall with a dark color beard (goatee style), wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and tan cargo pants. He is also believed to be in his early 20's.
