13 students charged in Bensalem cell phone thefts

BENSALEM, Pa. - January 11, 2012

Twelve Bensalem students and one student from the Bucks County Technical High School have been charged with buying or selling at least 24 stolen cell phones over the course of two months.

Police say the investigation began when an unusual pattern of cell phone thefts were reported at Bensalem High School beginning back in September.

According to investigators, the Bucks County Tech School student and a few Bensalem students would receive stolen phones and place them on Craigslist to sell.

Since all of suspects are juveniles their identities have not been released.

As the investigation continues, more arrests may be made.
