Man arrested for 2 Philadelphia bank robberies

Philadelphia police say they have made an arrest in connection with two bank robberies in the city.

Brandon Shields, 28, from the 1100 block of Meyre Street was arrested on Tuesday morning.

Investigators say he is responsible for robbing the PNC Bank at 6855 Frankford Avenue on the morning of December 7th.

Police also say Shields is responsible for the robbery of the Citizens Bank at 6537 Castor Avenue.

In both cases, police say the robberies were committed using a demand note.

Shields will be charged with robbery and related offenses.
