40 lbs of cocaine seized in Bensalem, suspects ID'd

BENSALEM, Pa. - January 31, 2012

Bensalem police say they seized the cocaine and arrested the men early Monday morning and more arrests are possible. Authorities tell the Bucks County Courier Times the men had smuggled drugs worth $8 million to a warehouse there for redistribution.

Court documents say three of the suspects are from the Dominican Republic and one is from Mexico. All six face felony drug possession charges.

Arrested were Alfonso Vallejo, 45, of Brownsville, Texas; Fernando Garcia, 31, of Philadelphia; Arnaldo Rodriguez, 33, of Philadelphia; Jairo Nunez-Dejesus, 35, of Allentown; Antonio Ferreira, 34, of Whitehall, Pa.; and Jhon Torres, 34, of Macungie, Pa.

Vallejo is a Mexican citizen; Nunez-Dejesus, Ferreira and Torres are citizens of the Dominican Republic, police said.

They were sent to Bucks County Prison on $1 million bail.
