Police say around 1:00 a.m. Monday the two vehicles ran into each other at North Front Street and West Duncannon Avenue in the Olney section of the city.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital for what are being described as minor injuries.
No one on the fire truck was injured.
Police are still trying to sort out exactly what led to the crash.
There's no word on whether the fire truck was on a call.
