Man critical after Wilmington shooting

WILMINGTON - April 29, 2012

The shooting took place around 5:35 p.m. in the area of 23rd Street and Kalmar Place.

Arriving officers found a male in his 20's unconscious and suffering from one gunshot wound to the back.

Officers began administering first aid to the victim and he was subsequently transported to Christiana Hospital in critical condition.

The name of the victim has not been verified.

Police have not released any additional details about the shooting.
