Man shot in SW Phila home invasion

Police say a gunman invaded a home in Southwest Philadelphia and shot a man twice Friday morning.

It happened inside a house located on the 1600 block of South Yewdall Street around 5:45 a.m.

According to police, a 22-year-old man was shot several times by the intruder.

The victim told police he woke up to see an unknown man standing in his bedroom pointing a gun at him. When he tried to run, he was shot twice.

He suffered neck and shoulder wounds and was rushed to the hospital in stable condition.

A suspect was seen fleeing the scene.
