Yi Ping Zheng, 48, of Philadelphia, has also been ordered to pay $2600 and is barred from owning or operating a retail store for three years after his release.
Zheng was arrested after agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement/ Homeland Security Investigations raided New Discoveries Handbags at 643 South Street on December 15, 2011.
Prosecutors say they seized more than 3,000 pieces of counterfeit merchandise with manufacturer's retail price tags totaling $1.25 million.
The seized items included purses, handbags, wearing apparel, wallets, sunglasses, scarves, labels, jewelry, watches, umbrellas, key chains and handbag locks for multiple registered trademark holders.
Investigators also found, on the second floor of the store, machines and devices for attaching trademark-protected labels onto counterfeit items.
