Shamsidden Abdur-Raheem was sentenced Wednesday on charges of murder, kidnapping and child endangerment.
In addition to a life sentence for murder, Abdur-Raheem was given 30 years in prison for kidnapping his daughter and 10 years for child endangerment.
He also got one year for assaulting the baby's maternal grandmother while abducting the child from the woman's East Orange apartment in 2010.
The 24-year-old Galloway Township resident must serve at least 80 years in prison without parole.
The baby's body was found on the bank of the river two months later.
Abdur-Raheem testified that he tossed 3-month-old Zara into the Raritan River because he believed the child was already dead from injuries she suffered during a fight with the grandmother.
